LP class of '47 hosts reunion

Lester Prairie class of 1947 as the appeared in their graduating year.

Members of the Lester Prairie class of 1947 at the 60 year reunion July 27.

The Lester Prairie graduating class of 1947 celebrated its 60 year reunion July 27. The class hosted several other graduating classes in honor of the occassion.

The afternoon was spent hearing a reading by Pastor Bill Baldwin, and trivia about the changes in school and in Lester Prairie. A mystery tour, led by Joe Miller, followed.

Supper was served by the host class. All guests expressed their thanks for the enjoyable reunion. Guests came from Missouri, Colorado, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.

Lester Prairie School celebrates 40th class reunion

The members of the class of 1967 from Lester Prairie School enjoyed getting together for a reunion June 16 at Jerry and Sue Rolf’s residence. Class members in attendance included: front – Val Landin, Jeanette (Heigl) Kegler, Linda (Krienke) Plath, Sue (Thiel) Noerenberg; back – Joseph Mallak, Dennis Kruschke, Marcel Fasching, Jerry Rolf, Albert Bentz, Daryl Kroells, David Karels, Alan Staple, Steven Smith, and Wesley Schmidt.

The class enjoyed a catered meal, a school tour, participated in thet LP parade, and a bonfire (which we could sit back and enjoy the fireworks from Lester Prairie). We saw our old film of our class trip taken by Mr. Gordon Houk, in 1967 of the Black Hills. We had a great time catching up with friends, telling jokes, and enjoying the evening (which was free of bugs!!!) Hope to see everyone back in five years.
